  • The Bachelor of Architecture Program of the ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch) prepares students for a bright career as a well-equipped architect in India.
  • It is a five-year full time degree program with 10 semesters of continuous evaluation in coursework, design projects, research and practical training.
  • The uniqueness of the B.Arch. Program of ISArch lies in its approach towards bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Award of Degree

A candidate shall be awarded Bachelor of Architecture degree by the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, Hyderabad (a Deemed-to-be University) on successful completion of all the courses of studies and subject to University regulations.

  • The workshop-based hands on education will evolve students towards real-time projects.
  • Each workshop exercise has an expert in theory and various practicing architects guiding the students to realize their ideas for practically implementing them.

  • ISArch offers Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) specified by the University Grants Commission (UGC) enabling students to choose courses of interest while meeting the minimum required credits.
  • Under the Choice Based Credit System, which is a student/ learner centric system, the courses of study in the Architecture Degree program are as under:

  • A Course, which should compulsorily be studied by a Student as a core requirement is termed as a core course.
  • The weightage in terms of credits is 45%.

  • A Course, which informs the professional core and should be compulsorily studied.
  • The weightage in terms of credits is 20%.

A course which can be chosen from a pool of courses and are of two types:

  • Professional Elective (PE): which may be very specific or specialised or advanced or supportive to the discipline/ subject of study or which provides an extended scope. Credits: 10%
  • Open Elective (OE): Which enables an exposure to some other discipline/subject/domain or nurtures the candidate's proficiency/skill. Credits: 5%

Which may be of two kinds:

  • Employability Enhancement Compulsory Courses (EECC) Credits: 15%
  • Skill Enhancement Courses (SEC) Credits: 5%

Admission Modalities

The Admission modalities are with reference to the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Program offered by the ICFAI School of Architecture (ISArch) a constituent of the ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad.

Eligibility

  • Pass in 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also minimum 50% aggregate marks. OR
  • Pass in 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as compulsory subject, with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • In addition to the above, Pass in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA-2024) conducted by Council of Architecture (COA)

The admission into B.Arch Program is through a multistage process to select applicants based on their:

  • Performance in the qualifying examination
  • Personal Interaction with the Faculty
  • Scores of NATA 2024
  • Candidates who are short-listed will be called for Personal Interview

The selected candidates will be given the Selection Letters on the date of Interview and will be given Provisional Admission. The provisional admission is subject to payment of admission fee.

If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission into the program, his/her admission will be cancelled. All admissions will be subject to verification of facts from the original certificates/ documents of the applicant. The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Applicants who have appeared for Class XII (or equivalent) examination and awaiting results are also eligible to apply provided they complete their examinations (including practical examinations) before August 10, 2024. The admission of applicants will, however remain provisional until they produce mark sheets establishing their eligibility. The last date for submitting the proof of Class XII (or equivalent) mark sheet is September 15, 2024, failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled.

The decision of the Admissions Committee regarding eligibility of any applicant shall be final.

Students interested can apply by the following method:

A) Download of Application Form Applicants can download the Application Form from www.ifheindia.org/isa and send it to the Admissions Office (Address mentioned below) along with the Bank Demand Draft of `600 towards the cost of the application in favor of "IFHE-Fee Collection A/c B.Arch 2024" payable at Hyderabad.

B) Fill the Application Form Applicants can fill in the Application Form given on page No 3 and send it to the Admissions Office, # 65, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta, Hyderabad - 500 082, Telangana State.

Submission of Application Form: The completed application form should be sent to the following: Principal, ICFAI School of Architecture, 3rd Floor, IcfaiTech Block, IFHE Campus, Donthanpally, Shankarpally Road, Hyderabad-501203, by Registered/ Speed Post.

Following is the checklist for the certificates to be attached while applying for admission:

  1. 10th Class Marks Sheet
  2. 10+2 or 10+3 Marks Sheet and qualifying certificate (in case the candidate is applying before the announcement of results of the qualifying examination, he/she may submit a Bonafide Certificate of his/her current school/college).
  3. NATA 2024 score card
  4. Duly Filled in Application Form

Students of B.Arch Program are required to pay a caution deposit of `10,000 along with the first semester fee. The caution deposit will be refunded without interest and after adjusting for dues, if any, to the students on completion of the program. Caution deposit and Security deposit are not adjustable against Program Fee and other dues.

Limited hostel rooms are available at the campus. Day Scholars can avail bus facility from City to Campus on payment basis.

ISArch offers Merit Scholarships to the students pursuing the B.Arch Program. The scholarships are based on past academic record in Class XII and Semester-wise performance during the B.Arch Program.

A. Merit Scholarships based on past academic record:

Merit Scholarship based on past academic Record is provided to students on the basis of percentage achieved in qualifying examination. he details are as presented in the following table.

Merit scholarship in subsequent semesters shall be provided based on the academic performance of the previous semester. Scholarship amounts are calculated as per the scheme given below.
