• The Department of Case Research Center came into existence in 2000. The department is a part of IBS Hyderabad, the Faculty of Management of the University. Currently, the department has nine faculty members involved in teaching, research and administration.
• One of these is a Ph.D. holder and five are pursuing Ph.D.

Teaching

• The primary role of the department is to contribute to case-based pedagogy of teaching and research at IBS Hyderabad.
• Faculty members of the department teach undergraduate courses in Marketing, HR, and Finance disciplines through the case method. They also contribute to the Management Development Programs of the Centre for Management Development of the University and conduct Faculty Development Programs and Workshops in Case method of teaching, analysis and writing.

Research and Publications

• The major thrust areas in which case research activities are being pursued are, Social Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development Goals, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Capital Structure, Sustainable Business Models, Digital Business Strategy, Corporate Responsibility and Ethics, Technology and Ethics, Technology and Innovation, New Product Development, Marketing Communications, Learning Pedagogies, Design of Knowledge Systems, Sustainable HRM, Organizational Culture, etc.
• Faculty members of the department have published case studies in reputed peer reviewed journals such as Emerging Markets Case Studies, The CASE Journal, and The Case for Women.
• Faculty members have also published case studies with reputed case publishers such as Harvard Business Publishing and Ivey Publishing.
